This Privacy Policy explains how Live Beautiful collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data specifically within "The Conversation" feature. It supplements the general Live Beautiful Privacy Policy, which governs your account and app membership as a whole. Live Beautiful is the data controller for the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norway's Personal Data Act.

• Your name, if you've provided one.
• The content of your conversations — everything you write or say within The Conversation.
• Voice recordings, if you use the microphone, which are transcribed to text and then discarded.
• Your current "layer" (progress point) within the Live Beautiful methodology, and a memory summary generated from past conversations, used to personalise future responses.
• A device identifier, generated and stored on your device, used to recognise you on return visits without requiring a separate login.
• Basic technical data such as your device's light/dark mode preference.

• To generate responses within The Conversation, tailored to what you've shared and where you are in the methodology.
• To remember context across separate conversations, so The Conversation doesn't ask you to repeat yourself.
• To maintain your conversation history so you can revisit or delete past conversations.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

The Conversation relies on third-party service providers ("processors") to function. We share data with them only as needed to provide the Service:

• Anthropic (the provider of the underlying AI language model) — receives the content of your conversation in order to generate a response.
• OpenAI — receives audio you record, in order to transcribe it to text, if you use the microphone.
• Supabase — hosts the database where your conversation history and subscriber record are stored.
• Vercel — hosts the application itself.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share the content of your conversations with anyone for advertising or marketing purposes.

Live Beautiful's own team does not read, review, or otherwise access the content of your conversations as a matter of course. Your conversation is processed automatically by the systems listed above to generate a response — no person at Live Beautiful sees it. A human would only ever see conversation content if you contact us directly for support and choose to share it with us, or if we are legally required to.

Some of the processors listed above may process data outside Norway and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this occurs, we rely on the safeguards those providers make available for such transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We retain your conversation history for as long as your subscriber account remains active, so that The Conversation can continue drawing on relevant context. You can delete individual conversations at any time from within the app. If you'd like your entire subscriber record and conversation history deleted, contact us using the details below.

Under GDPR and Norwegian law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no), if you believe your data has been mishandled.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Conversation is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of The Conversation after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
